As part of the “Promoting Energy Efficiency in Supporting and Food Processing Industries in Vietnam” project funded by UNOPS and implemented by VCCI, a two-day training workshop was held in Long An on July 6–7, 2024.

The workshop was organized by VCCI, in collaboration with the Institute of Information Technology for Business (VCCI-ITB) and the Mekong Delta Enterprises Training Center (VCCI-MEET), gathering 34 participants from sectors including food processing, sustainable materials, biotechnology, banking, and energy consulting.

The training focused on practical topics such as updates on energy management and GHG inventory policies, project introduction on promoting energy efficiency, industrial energy-saving solutions, carbon credit mechanisms through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), and hands-on GHG inventory based on ISO 14064-1:2018 standards, along with building emission reduction plans.

Interactive discussions and exercises allowed participants to apply the methodologies directly to their business operations. Feedback highlighted the practical relevance and clarity of the sessions, with many requesting more in-depth training on green financing and advanced energy-saving technologies in the future.
