Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited (VICOSAP), established in 2020, headquartered in Hamlet 2, Thanh Phu Commune, Cau Ke District, Tra Vinh Province, currently has 24 employees, of which 80% are female. With the orientation of developing products from wax coconut - a famous specialty of Tra Vinh - VICOSAP is gradually building a sustainable value chain from cultivation, processing to developing agricultural tourism. The company's main products are wax coconut products such as wax coconut candy, coconut yogurt, dried coconut... produced in two factories with a total area of ​​over 900 m², with a system of modern equipment such as freeze dryers, cold storage, filling machines, sterilizers, candy making machines and air conditioning, lighting and office systems.

Currently, VICOSAP consumes about 180,000 kWh of electricity per year, equivalent to nearly 360 million VND in energy costs.

In the coming period, the company aims to become a leading unit in the wax coconut processing industry in Vietnam. VICOSAP's vision includes linking with at least 30 wax coconut farmers, developing an agricultural tourism model combined with the conservation of original wax coconut, building an organic wax coconut growing area associated with geographical indications, and promoting energy-saving and environmentally friendly production.
One of the upcoming key projects is the construction of a wax coconut exhibition house with an area of ​​800 m² in Thanh Phu commune, with a total investment of 6.2 billion VND. In addition, the company plans to invest in new equipment such as a wax coconut ice cream machine, an automatic candy packaging machine, and the installation of a rooftop solar power system.
With favorable natural conditions in Tra Vinh (up to 2,700 hours of sunshine per year, high radiation intensity), the installation of a 100 kWp solar power system is considered a feasible solution. This system can produce about 150,000 kWh/year, meeting 80% of current electricity demand, saving about 300 million VND/year, with a payback period of about 5 years. However, the company is still completely dependent on grid electricity and has not yet implemented comprehensive energy saving solutions. Therefore, investing in a renewable energy system, while upgrading equipment and production processes, is considered a necessary direction to improve operational efficiency and sustainable development.
