On March 20, 2024, the Project Management Team “Promotion of Energy Efficiency in Supporting and Food Processing Industries in Vietnam” had a working session and directly surveyed the production model of Global Food Joint Stock Company (Global Food JSC.) in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province.

Global Food JSC. was formerly a state-owned farm in Luc Ngan, established in 1963. Over more than 50 years of development, Global Food JSC. has always focused on exploring new technologies, investing in modern machinery systems to supply high-quality agricultural products for export according to ISO, HACCP, FDA, and BRC standards, meeting the requirements of demanding markets such as Japan, the United States, Australia, and Europe, especially sustainable production requirements.

During the working session, the company representative shared about the current energy usage status, advantages, challenges, and some solutions that have been and are being applied in business production activities to promote energy-efficient and effective usage (EE), reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and bring dual benefits of reducing production costs and protecting the environment.

After the working session, the Project proposed collaboration with the Company in activities to enhance local awareness and provide technical guidance to the company's personnel on EE for direct application into the current production system, while arranging working sessions to conduct detailed machinery parameter measurements, serving as a basis for constructing proposals to be submitted to financial organizations for accessing funds/financial solutions suitable for the direction of replacing machinery and EE technologies, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
